I’d been living on the North-Kent coast for a couple of years before I noticed that at least two rather excellent regular music festivals were within easy reach.
The Ramblin’ Man Fair in Maidstone, and the A New Day Festival in Faversham.
At first I’d just smuggle my good lense in with me and hope they didn’t throw me out, but after a while I got up the moxie to say hello and ask if I could be made semi-official in return for any pictures they might want to use.
And now I have the time of my life, in front of the barriers instead of behind them, and some of my shots have been used in their marketing and souvenir publications.
And I’ve even had a couple of photos printed in “Prog” magazine! Get me!
